A hand from a duplicate session
A friend from Manchester showed me this interesting hand:
E/W vulnerable; Dealer South
S Kxxx H 10xxx D Jx C J9x S xxxx S AJ H - H KQJxxx D KQxxx D A10xxx C xxxx C - S Qxx H Axx D x C AKQ10xx3C made 9 tricks for +110. So what is remarkable about this deal? Well nothing apart from the fact that a grand slam, in diamonds, is laydown for E/W! Admitted you need to play on a ruffing finesse. OK the grand is a push and poor odds. What about the small slam then?W N E S 1C P 1H P 3C P P P
