A Good Yarborough!

"I have nightmares about Yarboroughs," a casual partner remarked. "I imagine, in my dreams, that partner makes a forcing take-out and I have to bid a 3-card suit with not a point in sight".
"So what happens then?" I enquired.
"Oh partner makes several more forcing bids and we arrive in 7NT doubled but I always wake up in time and never get to count the undertricks".
"A nasty experience," I sympathised. "Let's hope we don't see any Yarboroughs in tonight's session." However, fate was listening and in the very first hand of the night, partner (playing North), picked up:

My 1H opening was the start of another nightmare for partner as he resolutely refused to succumb to temptation and whispered only a whimpering pass. East joined in the party with a double. Partner fidgeting more intensely as each second passed. Partner however, brightened up when the bidding eventually subsided in 2NT undoubled. The bidding had been:

When the opponents each turned up with two hearts, I made: one spade, four hearts, two diamonds and two clubs for 9 tricks. "Sorry," I said to partner, " I never realised your hand was so good. I will bid up next time!" Partner doesn't have nightmares any more!S A1042 H A9875 D AK C AQ
